Back in 2017, when crypto was still a wild frontier and every day brought a new experiment, a small group of meme enthusiasts on Bitcointalk dreamed of creating the first cryptocurrency truly dedicated to the Wojak archetype. The idea was simple but powerful; Wojak, the eternal noob, trader, and bagholder, deserved a coin of his own. The original Bitcointalk concept described WojakCoin as: “A peer-to-peer meme currency that serves the internet community and all those who identify with Wojak. We aim to bring awareness to cryptocurrency and a noob-friendly way to send wojaks on various social media sites and bring new people into the cryptocurrency revolution.” Today, in 2025, WojakCoin returns with its original mission,to onboard normies into crypto through memes, feels, and community, because in the end… we are all Wojak.
